Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Property Manager to manage short-term rental properties and ensure a consistently high standard of guest experience, property presentation and operational delivery.

The successful candidate must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience managing short-term rental properties, with strong practical experience using booking platforms and handling guest communications from enquiry through to check-out.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly organised, responsive, proactive and comfortable managing multiple properties, guests, suppliers and operational requirements remotely.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of short-term rental properties.
Manage bookings, reservations, amendments and cancellations across booking platforms.
Handle guest enquiries and communications before, during and after each stay.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, requests and issues.
Coordinate guest check-ins and check-outs.
Manage cleaning, laundry, maintenance and property turnaround requirements.
Coordinate with cleaners, contractors, maintenance teams and local property service providers.
Monitor property readiness before guest arrival.
Address guest complaints and resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
Monitor guest reviews and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date property, booking and guest information.
Monitor calendars and prevent booking conflicts or availability issues.
Assist with pricing, availability and minimum-stay requirements where required.
Monitor booking platform performance and identify issues requiring attention.
Ensure properties are maintained to the required presentation and service standards.
Track maintenance issues and ensure they are followed through to completion.
Maintain accurate records of bookings, expenses, maintenance and operational activities.
Escalate serious guest, property or maintenance issues appropriately.
Work independently while keeping management informed of important developments.

Required Skills

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in short-term rental/property management.
Proven experience managing short-term rental properties, holiday rentals or serviced accommodation.
Hands-on experience using booking platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com or similar platforms.
Strong experience managing guest communications via booking platforms, email and/or messaging applications.
Experience coordinating cleaners, maintenance providers and other property-related suppliers.
Strong understanding of the guest journey from booking through to check-out.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Highly responsive and able to manage urgent guest and property issues.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple properties and competing priorities.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
